HotSpot Enterprises Launches a New Concept Where eCommerce Meets The Traditional Printed Media

Hotspot enterprises publishers of Hotspot Magazine and marketing services provider today announced a first for local retail business, a concept that is expected to be a breakthrough in the local online shopping scenario.

As from next July, hotspot magazine will be introducing the ‘smartbuy’ concept, where people can instantly buy a product by simply scanning its’ QR code with their devices such as smart phones or tablets.

This concept is totally new for the traditionally printed advertising media, and Hotspot Magazine is on the forefront to give the Maltese shopping community a new opportunity to buy at their convenience.

Advertisers can now have their featuring products on Hotspot Magazine complemented with a QR code. Shoppers can browse into more specifications then the printed ones, and discover the product in detail. They are only a click away from purchasing all their needs and having them delivered to their doorstep.

Mr. Marlor Caruana, managing director of Hotspot Enterprises explained how the ‘smart buy’ concept will also be giving the advertisers a 24hr selling platform, thus widening their opening hours and reaching out a growing segment of online shoppers.

Strategy director Mr. Kenneth Pullicino described this newly launched ‘smart buy’ concept as a natural step forward for his entity. In anticipation of this healthy new concept and to solidify its’ growth, Hotspot Enterprises is signing a service agreement with two local prominent entities. Progress press will be printing this monthly shopping catalogue, while Maltapost will be distributing this publication to every household in Malta and Gozo.

This agreement have a commercial value of €1.7 million, and involves the input of over 120 employees every month.

By far this is the largest commitment in volume both for progress press and for Maltapost.

Hotspot Enterprises projects a lucrative return on investment of net 53% profit for all advertises onboard hotspot magazine.
